Do not be alarmed if you indicated a major interest on your application but are listed as an undeclared major. Many majors do not accept transfer students on admission to the university, and instead require that your first advising take place in the Office of Academic Advising. After your initial advisement, you may be permitted to declare and enter your major department. Many programs have requirements that must be satisfied before entry into a major can occur. Declaration to some majors is competitive — admission to the university does not guarantee admission to a specific major.
