This summit is a direct culmination of efforts originally conceptualized at the 2003 National Pain and Palliative Care Summit at The Ohio State University. It was then that a group of pharmacists with an interest in pain and palliative care recommended convening a planning summit in which to improve the education of today's and tomorrow's pharmacists on pain and palliative care.
