<h2>Advising</h2><br />SIUE has mandatory academic advising for all students. Prior to registration each semester students must meet with an advisor. Generally advising for the upcoming semester begins by the fourth week of the current term. Most students are unable to declare a major until their sophomore year. All undeclared undergraduate students meet with advisors in Academic Counseling and Advising.
