Dr. Marion Broome, PhD, an expert in pediatric pain and University Dean for the School of Nursing at Indiana University, Indianapolis IN, will present "Dilemmas in Publishing Your Work: Politics and Process," November 13, 2007 in the Morris University Center's Meridian Ballroom. She has published over 71 articles, 12 chapters, and 5 books in the area of pediatric pain and research ethics for children. Dr. Broome also serves as a member of the editorial boards of Pediatric Nursing and Children's Health Care (U.K) and was inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 1994. She now serves as editor-in-chief of Nursing Outlook.
The purpose of this program is to foster manuscript submissions and publications in professional nursing journals and is sponsored by the SIUE School of Nursing and the Epsilon Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
This program is offered for 2.5 contact hours by the SIUE School of Nursing which is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Illinois Nurses Association which is an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.This portion of the conference is free, and intended for SIUE School of Nursing faculty and agency nurses.
