MYSTERY: The SIUE Friends of Theater and Dance will mount its annual Mystery Dinner Theater and Silent Auction at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, in the University Restaurant, on the second floor of SIUE's Morris University Center. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for silent auction preview, the play will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. and dinner will be served about 7 p.m. The mystery presentation, Murder in the Manor, is a "tasteful literary comedy" full of laughs, fun, off-beat characters, and a chance to play detective. The door prizes alone are worth the $35 admission, which also includes dinner. Above, the cast members, all of Edwardsville, include (from left) Donna Carli, of Edwardsville, in the role of Jeannie, owner of the Manor Restaurant; S.J.Morrison as Bernie, nephew to Artemus Ward who was poisoned; and Jerry Stoeber as Major, a journalist who is hot on the case. In back is Jenna Stoeber as Alexis, daughter of Artemus Ward and a poet at heart—she's always quoting Emily Dickinson. For tickets, call the SIUE Fine Arts box office, (618) 650-2774.
