<h3>Login trouble?</h3>
<p>Login procedures vary for different library services or terminals. The sections below explain which ID number or username you need to enter in certain situations.</p>
<h3>When to login with your e-ID</h3>
<p>To login to the <strong>ILLiad</strong> interlibrary loan system, to access the <strong>online journal databases</strong> from off-campus, or to login to any of the <strong>computers</strong> in the Library, type your <a href="https://oitam.isg.siue.edu/~eid/e-ID_definition.html">e-ID</a> username and password. An e-ID is the part of your university e-mail address that precedes @siue.edu. For example, in the e-mail address abc123@siue.edu, the e-ID would be abc123.</p>
<h3>When to login with your Cougar ID</h3>
<p>To obtain <strong>I-Share</strong> library services (requesting books through the Library's online catalog or to access electronic Course Reserve documents from off-campus), when prompted for an ID number, type the prefix 21811 followed immediately by your Cougar ID number. Leave no space between the prefix and your ID number.</p>
<p>This entire number is your Library ID number and is printed at the bottom of your Cougar Card. The number will look like: 21811 800xxxxxx <em><strong>2</strong></em> is the code for a patron. <em><strong>1811</strong></em> is Lovejoy Library's identification number in I-Share, the state-wide system). Your <em><strong>9 digit ID number</strong></em> follows this prefix.</p>
