Students who attend classes the previous spring semester and are scheduled for classes during the fall semester may live on campus during the summer without being enrolled in a class. Otherwise, you must be enrolled for a minimum of one course during the summer semester. The summer housing deadline is April 1, 2011.
Evergreen Hall and Cougar Village apartments are open for Summer Housing residents. For summer 2011, summer residents will be located on the 3rd floor of Evergreen Hall and in Cougar Village buildings 411-420, 520, 522, 525-527, and 529-531. Current Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Hall residents who are moving to Cougar Village or Evergreen Hall for the summer are required to check-out of their hall by Saturday, May 7th at noon and will not be able to move into their summer assignment until Sunday, May 22nd at noon. Current Cougar Village and Evergreen Hall residents who are staying for the summer session will receive notification from University Housing as to when they will need to move into their summer assignments. We do our best to move students staying for the summer into their fall assignment, if possible. We work to minimize moves for each resident.
Current Evergreen Hall and Cougar Village residents with summer contracts do not have to check out of their current space for the two week period between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the summer semester. Current Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Hall residents who have a summer contract are required to check-out of their current space on Saturday, May 7th by noon.
Current University Housing residents can apply for summer housing online at www.siue.edu/housing/apply. Current residents complete the Application for Space - Summer Only. Non-housing residents can apply for summer housing at www.siue.edu/housing/apply/. Assignment e-mails will be sent via e-mail in mid-April.
