<h2>The Gardens at SIUE</h2>
<p>The mission of <a href="http://www.siue.edu/gardens/">The Gardens at SIUE</a> is to create a venue of beauty and distinction to support educational and research programs, to engage the public in educational opportunities and campus life, and to provide a haven for relaxation and enjoyment for all. This will enhance SIUE’s reputation as having one of the most beautiful campuses in the country with 2,667 acres complete with spacious fields, woods, prairies and a lake.</p>
<p>The Gardens at SIUE is a 36-acre garden and forested area on the SIUE campus that has been designated by the world famous Missouri Botanical Garden as a Signature Garden. Not only is the site pleasing for campus visitors, but it also serves as a natural lab for SIUE students. The SIUE Foundation will enhance further development of The Gardens with private donations. Plans include The Scholar's Walk Garden, The Bloomin' "e" Terrace, a Shade-Stroll Garden, and a visitors center that will include a multi-purpose room.</p>
