<body>&lt;h2&gt;Recruitment&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are the advantages of this program?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;This program is designed to help current teachers enhance their teaching skills in Math Education.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3&gt;Who will be considered for admission in this program?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;Current teachers who have earned a Bachelor&amp;rsquo;s degree in Mathematics and are currently teaching Mathematics in a high school setting.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3&gt;Can I complete this program if I do not have a Bachelor&amp;rsquo;s in Mathematics but I have a high school mathematics endorsement?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;It would depend upon a transcript evaluation by the Mathematics department.&amp;nbsp; It is assumed that students will have the knowledge and experience of many upper level mathematics courses in order to succeed in the Mathematics content courses within this program.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3&gt;How long will it take to complete?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;The program will take 3 years to complete.&amp;nbsp; Based on feedback from current teachers, the preference was to only take one course each semester (2 courses in the summers) and that is how we&amp;rsquo;ve designed this program.&amp;nbsp; Students starting the program Fall 2008 will be complete by the end of Summer 2011. &lt;a href="/id0904f67a80562ee7"&gt; &lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href="/id0904f67a80569a67" target="_blank"&gt;Click here for a printable course schedule.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3&gt;What are the costs?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;This program is contingent upon grant funding.&amp;nbsp; If the grant is fully funded as expected, SIUE will waive tuition for the classes required for this program and the grant will cover all associated course fees and books.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3&gt;Are there any requirements from my school or district for me to participate?&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;    &lt;p&gt;Yes, your school and district must approve your participation in this program.&amp;nbsp; Teams from schools not meeting AYP are encouraged to participate.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;h3 align="center"&gt;School of Education Advising Contact:&lt;br /&gt;Certification and Advisement&lt;br /&gt;(618) 650-3940 (with voice mail)&lt;br /&gt;FAX (618) 650-5468&lt;br /&gt;EMAIL: &lt;a href="mailto:gfricke@siue.edu"&gt;gfricke@siue.edu&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Box 1062&lt;br /&gt;Edwardsville IL 62026-1062&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.siue.edu/education" target="_blank"&gt;www.siue.edu/EDUCATION&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</body>
