<h2>Season For The Child<br /></h2>
<p><a href="http://www.siue.edu/%7Egconroy/FOTAD/index.html">A Season for the Child</a> was created in 1985 by the SIUE Friends of Theater and Dance (FOTAD) and TheBANK of Edwardsville to address a need for families to enjoy the magic of theater together. The series, produced by FOTAD and TheBANK, features professional theater troupes from St. Louis presenting various children’s stories, using interactive techniques that not only delight children and parents, but also provide a learning experience.</p>
<p>Proceeds from the series benefit the FOTAD scholarship fund for theater and dance majors at the university, providing some $10,000 annually in Freshmen Scholarships, Student Merit Awards, and stipends for students to attend conferences, as well as support for the SIUE Department of Theater and Dance.</p>
