COURSE DESCRIPTION

Ronda Sauget, renowned local entrepreneur and Executive Director of the Archview Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), will discuss the value of developing collaborative partnerships for project success.  She will provide strategies for establishing and managing collaborative partnerships that she has developed while leading many projects that have added value to the regional economy in terms of building new industry sectors, growing existing business, attracting new companies, and sustaining healthcare services to the under-served through Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation,  

Workshop highlights:

  • Introduction and explanation of why Collaborative Partnerships with high return internal and external stakeholder groups can significantly enhance project success.  Discussion of internal and external stakeholder groups development and management strategies.
  • Building relationships to enhance the long-term sustainability of project success.  Using Collaborative Partners and joint strategic planning to diminish unproductive competition for resources while executing complex internal initiatives.  Includes specific examples of tangible benefits for multiple projects.
  • Examination of internal/external stakeholder groups and their potential impact/influence on project success (including political and economic power gained from stakeholder management), and the negative implications/risks of failed stakeholder relations efforts.
  • External stakeholder management for long-term project viability, funding, incentives, positive public policies/regulations, infrastructure, etc.   Includes a consideration of the role of elected officials, state/federal agencies, media, public, special interest groups, and other interested stakeholders.
  • Lessons Learned in the best thinking of collaborative partnerships to gain a relative competitive position in achieving positive project expectations for all stakeholder groups. Win-Win internal and external project perceptions for all stakeholder groups.

INDIVIDUAL COURSE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

The SIUE Executive Education division of the School of Business reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course when necessary. If we cancel or postpone a course for any reason, you may choose to receive a FULL refund or apply  the course fee to a subsequent offering of the same or a similar course. The latter option may be exercised within one calendar year of the original course.

If you register and pay for a course and then withdraw a one week or more before the start date of the course, a full refund of the course fee less an administrative fee of $50 will be made.

If cancellation occurs less than one week before the start date of the course, no refund of the course fee will be made; however, at the discretion of the Director of Executive Education Programs, the course fee may be applied to a subsequent offering of the same or similar course with a course fee that is at least equal to the cost of the original course. If the course fee of a subsequent course exceeds the amount paid for the original course, the difference in the course fee amounts must be paid in full prior to the start of the subsequent course. An approved substitution must occur within one calendar year of the original course.
