<h2>Program Foundation (Prerequisite Courses)</h2><p>Prior coursework of each incoming student is evaluated on an individual basis to determine what, if any, prerequisite coursework is needed for entry into the MS CMIS program. Each student needs this background:</p><ul> <li>A programming course (e.g., Visual Basic, Java, C, COBOL)</li> <li>A course in systems hardware and software (such as CMIS 310)</li> <li>A course in organizational behavior (such as MGMT 341)</li> <li>A course in financial accounting (such as ACCT 200 or 524)</li> <li>A course in marketing (such as MKTG 300 or 525)</li> <li>Evidence of good communication and writing skills</li></ul>
