<body>&lt;h2&gt;Theatrical Design and Technology&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;table border="0" style="border-color:#b80000" width="800" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" align="center"&gt;    &lt;tr&gt;        &lt;td&gt;            &lt;p&gt;The program of Theatrical Design and Technology within the Department of Theatre and Dance is created to teach students in skills to be a costume, scenic, lighting and/or sound designer or practitioner. These skills will ensure that students are ready for employment in professional or semi-professional theatres, or be qualified to attend some of the best graduate programs for their chosen area of design.&lt;/p&gt;            &lt;p&gt;This demanding program offers fundamental classes in theatrical design and technology as well as Stage Make-up and Theatrical Scene Painting to name a few.&lt;/p&gt;            &lt;p&gt;Advanced classes can be offered in Theatre Graphics, Theatre Rendering as well as any of the design specialties. Along with these classes, students will take classes in Acting/Directing, Dance and Theatre History/ Literature/ Criticism.&lt;/p&gt;            &lt;p&gt;Theatrical Design and Technology students have the opportunity to learn not only through classes, but also by working and designing for Southern Illinois University&amp;rsquo;s productions throughout the season.&lt;/p&gt;            &lt;p&gt;Our faculty have trained and worked in across North America and in Europe for Broadway productions, Professional Regional Theatres and independent productions.
