<h2></h2> <h2><em>MEDICINE IN ACTION</em></h2> <p><img src="/id0904f67a806f00fa" alt="" width="646" height="484" /></p> <p>The Philosophy Department is pleased to announce Medicine in Action, a year-long bioethics speaker series organized by Dr. Alison Reiheld and funded by a SIUE Excellence in Undergraduate Education grant.&nbsp; Medicine in Action is an Ethics Across the Curriculum program designed to provide undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty interested in medical ethics with an opportunity to &quot;do ethics&quot; outside of a formal classroom setting.&nbsp; Each of the five sessions in the 2011-2012 series will involve a 45-minute presentation by an expert followed by 45 minutes of active audience participation and discussion of the topic.&nbsp; All are welcome, whether because you are a philosopher, a future health care professional, or--like all of us--a patient.</p> <p>Please contact <a href="mailto:areihel@siue.edu">Dr. Reiheld</a> with any questions at areihel@siue.edu.</p>
