<p>Anthony Cheeseboro is a specialist in Northeastern African history with a special emphasis on economic development in the Sudan. In addition to his area of specialty, Dr. Cheeseboro has done considerable research into Middle Eastern, European, and African American history. He has published in the Journal of Northeast African Studies, the Encyclopedia of U S Foreign Relations, and the Mississippi Quarterly. He earned his doctorate at Michigan State University. At SIUE, Dr. Cheeseboro is active teaching World History, Modern European, and African history. He also works with Student Services and the Johnetta Hailey scholarship committee.</p>
