Need for Private Support
Over the past decade, state funding has declined from 46 percent of our budget in fiscal year 1999 to 26 percent in fiscal year 2011. Students have borne the difference through higher tuition and fees. Private contributions are no longer a luxury, but a necessity for state universities to continue to meet the needs of today’s students and a global economy. |
