Sorin Nastasia was born in Torgoviste, Romania. He received his bachelors degree in philology at the University of Bucharest in Romania, a masters degree in American Cultural Studies also at the University of Bucharest, a second masters degree in Management of International Transactions at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, a third masters degree in Communications and Public Relations from the National University for Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest and a doctorate Communication and Public Discourse at the University of South Dakota. Today he is an assistant professor in the Department of Speech Communication at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Today he is an Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Dr. Dan Smithiger was born outside of Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. He arrived to the U.S. as an adopted child by an American family when he was four months old. He obtained his Bachelors of Music Education from Northern Arizona University, and his masters and doctorate in Music from the University of Arizona. Today he teaches percussion and is the Director of the Basketball band at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
