Join Student Affairs, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and STAT for the SIUE ROAR (Roast of All Rivals) Bonfire and T-Shirt Swap on Wednesday, November 9. Snag a new spirit shirt, enjoy free food and live music and celebrate the start of the Cougars basketball season.
The bonfire and t-shirt swap will start at 6pm in the Woodland Hall Bowl. SIUE Men's Basketball Head Coach Lennox Forrester and Women's Basketball Head Coach Amanda Levens will talk about the upcoming season starting at 6:30pm. Winners of Adidas prize packages will be selected and announced at 7pm (students must be present to win).
SIUE Spirit Shirts
Student Affairs and Red Storm will be handing out free t-shirts at the event. Bring a t-shirt from another University to exchange or sign a pledge promising to never wear another school's apparel on campus. The old t-shirts will be donated to the Holy Angels Shelter in East St. Louis. The SIUE men's and women's basketball players will be handing out the t-shirts.
Free Food
Hot dogs, chips and soda will be handed out the first 500 students starting at 6pm. Qdoba Mexican Grill will also be handing out free chips and queso dip.
Bonfire Serpentine
STAT members will lead a serpentine through the Residence Halls to bring students to the bonfire. The serpentine will start at 5pm and travel from Bluff Hall to Evergreen Hall to Prairie Hall and end at Woodland Hall. The serpentine will be a great way to walk with your friends to the bonfire.
Students who travel on their own to the bonfire can park in the red lots or use Visitors Lot B (parking payment will be required). Please note that only Woodland Hall residences can park in the WH Lot.
