Board Development Workshop

Event Description

The SIUE Alumni Association, the Office of Educational Outreach and the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce have assembled a panel of speakers to discuss the basics of board development.  The panel will share their experience with the following topics:  what it means to serve on a board of directors; the practical and fiduciary responsibility of board members; the Executive Director and Board President relationship; board organization and committee structures; and board member evaluation process and tools.

Panel members include:

  • Greg Cox '09 MPA - President, Cox Non-Profit Consulting, LLP and Adjunct Professor, SIUE
  • Cindy Warke - Executive Director, Gateway Center
  • Bev George '75 BS, '79 MSED - Owner, Bev George and Associates and President, SIUE Alumni Association Board of Directors

Registration Information

The registration price is $15 for Alumni Association members and $20 for non-members and community members.  The registration price includes free parking in the Birger Hall lot and refreshments during the networking reception.  Click here to order tickets online.  You can also order tickets over the phone by calling 618-650-2760 or in person at Birger Hall.
